cPanel's File Manager lets you upload, edit and organise your website's files directly through your browser, without needing separate software.
- Log into cPanel and open File Manager.
- Navigate to the
public_htmlfolder - this is the folder that's actually visible on the internet as your website. - Click Upload, then choose the files from your computer.
- If you're uploading a full website made of many files, it's much faster to upload one .zip file and then use File Manager's Extract option, rather than uploading hundreds of individual files one by one.
Your homepage file should usually be named index.html or index.php and sit directly inside public_html (not inside a sub-folder) so that it loads automatically when someone visits your domain.
